Welcome to Cliffs of Sanctuary, Dover & Deal
Since time immemorial Dover’s white cliffs have been a beacon of welcome and safety for people seeking sanctuary.
We are part of the nationwide City of Sanctuary UK movement of 80+ groups working together to ensure that our cities, towns and parishes are places of welcome and safety for refugees.
Our Aims
- To build a welcoming, inclusive and compassionate community for people seeking sanctuary in Dover and Deal.
- To recognise and celebrate the contributions people seeking sanctuary make to our local communities.
- To bring people together, bridge divides and foster mutual understanding and respect.
- To work with local councils, schools, universities, businesses and community groups to grow the movement and help make Dover and Deal ‘Places of Sanctuary’.
For more information read our Action Plan.
