Welcome to Cliffs of Sanctuary, Dover & Deal
Since time immemorial Dover’s white cliffs have been a beacon of welcome and safety for people seeking sanctuary. Our aim is to encourage a more compassionate attitude towards refugees seeking sanctuary in the Dover and Deal area. We are part of the nationwide City of Sanctuary UK movement – 150 groups working together, to make our cities, towns and parishes places of welcome and safety. We encourage local councils, universities, schools, businesses and community groups to join the movement and become ‘Places of Sanctuary’.
