Calendar of Events:

15-21 June Art Exibition at Deal Library – A celebration of children’s artwork from Sandown School based on this year’s theme for Refugee Week “Courage”

Tuesday 16 June Film Night – 6:30PM at the Golf Road Centre, Deal – “A World Not Ours”, an intimate and often humorous portrait of life at ein el-Helweh refugee camp in Lebanon, and “Hayat”, the struggle of an Eritrean migrant in Australia to keep her 4 children connected to their cultural roots.

Friday 19 June Quiz Night 7PM at St George’s Church Deal – an event to raise money for Sanctuary Community Holidays in Deal, bringing a group of London-based refugees to Deal to enjoy a short break from the city.

Saturday 20 June Dover Multi-Cultural Festival 10AM to 7PM in Pencester Gardens, Dover – Samphire Trust put on a vibrant celebration of Dover diversity. Come along to see the Cliffs of Sanctuary stand as well as stands of other organizations working with sanctuary seeking people.
