Wed 19th June  From 7 pm: A Conversation with refugees

An opportunity to have an intimate conversation in small groups with some local refugees, including keynote speaker Dr Alex Ntung, from Congo DRC,  author of Not My worst Day. Venue: Golf Road Community Centre, Deal.

Fri 21st June  6:30 pm: Film “The Old Oak” (Ken Loach)     

A film which explores the impact of Syrian refugees arriving in a small mining community in Durham. Venue: The Landmark Centre, Deal High Street.

Sat 22nd June: 2 – 3 pm: Ooberfuse band live performance

Ooberfuse is a critically-acclaimed band which has performed globally and is composed of refugees from Syria, Ukraine and Iraq. Performances: 10 am Deal Pier; 2 pm Dover Memorial (Marine Parade near East Ferry dock)

Sat 22nd June 12 – 3 pm: Deal Town Hall   

Exhibition of artwork, presentation of prizes (2 pm) for children’s art competition, refugee speaker/s
